The Bromley Buzz podcast celebrates its third anniversary on 4th August. A quote from episode 8 sums up why the Bromley Buzz is needed. Keith Jeremiah, then Chair of Trustees at Bromley Little Theatre, said when he and actress Alice Foster were interviewed in the theatre’s dressing room, “It is a constant sorrow to us that people come around sometimes and say, ‘I’ve lived in Bromley for forty years and I never even knew that you were here’. You think, how can that be?”
Now, with 183 podcast episodes (and counting) to listen to on Spotify, Audible, Apple Podcasts, and more, plus this website, our blog, and social media, there are many positives to enjoy. The Bromley Buzz team is Darren Weale of In Tune PR, based in Orpington; Clarity Coach Zeenat Noorani, located in Sundridge; and Sarah Marsh-Collings of babel Monkey Digital Marketing, based in Bexley. Sarah came up with the ‘Bromley Buzz’ name.
We have interviewed well over 200 people from across the borough, and had the help of guest presenters and interviewers including Gareth Bacon MP, Jacqui Weale, Chandra Sharma, and Aimee Cooter and Jaya Sharma from Newman Flexible Workspace. Many of the interviewees are involved in or appear at our arts venues, from comedian Sara Barron at Three Hounds Beer in Beckenham (episode 66), to actor Adam Woodyat at the Churchill Theatre (episode 48), and to the artistic team at the Bridge House Theatre in Penge, Luke Adamson and Joseph Lindoe (episode 45). Four Members of Parliament and four Mayor’s of Bromley have experienced the Bromley Buzz microphone, often coming back for more. We have recently started a run of every-6-weeks interviews with current Mayor, Cllr Dr David Jefferys. Yet it is as much the ‘hidden gems’ and ‘best kept secrets’ and those who haven’t had a voice in the media (sometimes children and students) who we have loved featuring the most. Check out the Down House interviews (episodes 131, 133, 134, and 135), the interview with Bromley FC Manager Andy Woodman before his two Wembley triumphs (episode 54), Bromley’s Fire Cadets (episode 127), and any number of other episodes. All are available on Spotify, Audible, Apple Podcasts, and other popular platforms.

The debut Bromley BuzzUp, 16th April 2024
In 2024, we started ‘Bromley BuzzUp’ monthly, free, all-sector networking events in venues across the borough, starting with Newman Flexible Workspace in the town centre. We have plans to innovate further.
As we enter our fourth year, we are grateful for the ongoing support of Bromley Buzz sponsors the Shampan restaurant Group and Ian Wood Property.
