We – honorary Bromelian Sarah Marsh-Collings, and long-term local residents Darren Weale, and Zeenat Noorani – love Bromley. In the summer of 2021, we realised that the London borough, home to David Bowie, Emma Raducanu, Dina Asher-Smith, Charles Darwin, and H.G. Wells, would benefit from a new, upbeat media platform to share the life of the borough and what the people here do. So on 4th August Darren and Zeenat launched the weekly Bromley Buzz podcast with a pilot episode, the Bromley Buzz name suggested by Sarah.
The podcast is hosted on Podbean and is also available on Spotify, Apple, Audible, Tune In, Amazon, and Listen Notes,
We are active on our LinkedIn page, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
The Bromley Buzz podcast is by Bromley people for Bromley people – and anyone, anywhere, who wants to learn about the London borough of Bromley, past, present and future. Now, as 2022 begins we have a website. We’re not stopping there. Why? Perhaps this from our interview with Keith Jeremiah and Alice Foster in Bromley Little Theatre‘s dressing room explains.
Keith said, “It is a constant sorrow to us that people come around sometimes and say I’ve lived in Bromley for forty years and I never even knew that you were here? You think, how can that be?”
We want to fix that. Check out our episodes so far here.
We are more grateful than he knows for the financial support of our first sponsor, Ian Wood of Ian Wood Property, a community-minded Orpington-based estate agent.
