We despatched Mercedes Yearley of Quest Soul Theatre, herself an actress, to review The Croft, which is on between 5th and 7th June at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre. We previewed the show recently, here, and Mercedes clearly loved it, saying:
“Set in the remote Scottish Highlands, The Croft blends modern mystery with ancient folklore in a gripping thriller that spans generations. When Laura and Suzanne arrive at a derelict crofter’s hut, their weekend escape quickly spirals into a chilling confrontation with the past.
“With standout performances from Liza Goddard, Caroline Harker, and Gray O’Brien, and haunting direction by Alastair Whatley, this play delivers suspense, emotion, and just the right amount of supernatural intrigue.
“The set, shifting between the 1800s and today, creates an eerie, immersive atmosphere, with a haunting soundtrack and spine-tingling moments that linger long after the final scene.
“A bold, beautifully crafted production. Highly recommended for a haunting night out.”
