Puss In Boots – A Christmas Adventure

Boy, Oh Boy! What a wonderful Christmas adventure it was at the Churchill Theatre with no other than Puss himself and his dear little friend Mousy.

Transported back to childhood, it was great to be immersed in a performance full of fun, laughter, and great music with interactive elements that kept the children of all ages engaged throughout. This was a Christmas bonanza for the entire family.

Music, acting, costumes, props, changes and the stage setting were brilliant and full of bright colours, bubbles and snow that drew the children and adults into the simple but superbly crafted story.

A beautiful tale where Puss in Boots finds himself alone, reminiscing about the past and his old master friend.  So, he decided to embark on an exciting journey back to his past along with Mousy!  Along the way he meets new friends, but not realising that all along his true friend was right beside him. Puss finally realises and learns meaning of true friendship.

Jacqui Weale joined me and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. She described this as ‘A fun feast through an adventure storybook with Puss in Boots and Mousy. A visual delight of colour, music and song with undertones adults also giggled along with. Two characters full of life and laughs, but when needed an aaah! Factor. The set, musical song choices, props, quick change costume changes actors all added up to a lively, fun performance that the young audience and adults absolutely loved. Please can we have more next year?’

Both Jacqui and I totally agree that a special mention to the Hansel and Gretel act had us totally believing in their disposal of the wicked witch.

Don’t miss Puss In Boots, a delightful show at the Churchill theatre, playing until
