Another Bromley Buzz podcast milestone was celebrated, quietly, in the last few days. Our podcast, delivered by the team of Darren Weale, Zeenat Noorani and Sarah Marsh-Collings, clocked up its 150th episode – Spotify link here.
That means we have had a publish rate of rather more than a show a week (despite taking time off for Christmas!) since we began in July 2021.
Our latest episode reflected as we often do on recent and upcoming events, experiences we have had in Bromley, and positive news, which is what we’re really about. Episode 151 will be published today, and will include thoughts from the show Calendar Girls at the Churchill Theatre, and amongst the episodes ahead will be ones featuring actor Zoe Tapper and dog expert and broadcaster Anna Webb.
We are grateful to the Fairlight Property Group and the Newman Flexible Workspace for hosting many of our recordings, and to Ian Wood Property and Terra Firma Landscapes for their sponsorship.
Within a few days, BBC London are coming to Bromley to broadcast, and we’re looking forward to covering their coverage! Bromley needs all the positive media attention it can get, and that is something we do and we encourage.
In the last few days, we have increased the content of our What’s On page, and we’re catching up with local organisations who have been in touch asking for coverage. This includes the Official Launch of Good Work Bromley Exchange, opening at London South East Colleges in Orpington. We are told that “The Good Work Bromley Exchange is an employment and skills service which will provide training and support for local residents by working with employers. The Exchange is being delivered by London South East Colleges in partnership with Bromley Council in connection with their UK Shared Prosperity Funding, which is part-funded by the UK government.”
Finally, Happy New Year from the Bromley Buzz team!
